Benvenuti in Italia - Mater Dei HS Chorus arrived safely in Italy

"All are here and almost all the suitcases made it", Incantato Tour Manager Stefania La Rosa just called from Rome Airport with the good news that all members of the 2011 Mater Dei HS Italy Pilgrimage and Performance Tour booked on the group flights arrived safely in Italy. Next stop for students, their families and friends is a first Italian dinner half-way enroute to the Amalfi Coast. They then continue to Maiori to check-in to their two hotels for the next four nights and hopefully get a good night of sleep as tomorrow is a busy day with visits to the UNESCO heritage sites of Ercolano and Pompeii, followed by a rehearsal and first highlight concert at the beautiful church of Santa Maria a Mar. After the concert on Saturday, March at 7 pm, a special reception and gala welcome dinner will be served for all at the Grand Hotel Reginna Palace.

The Mater Dei HS Choirs, under the direction of Mr. Scott Melvin and Mr. Justin Miller, will be traveling with Incantato Concert Tours on a personalized performance tour and visit Southern Germany, Austria, Slovenia and Italy during Easter 2014.

"There are at least four essential ingredients for a successful and rewarding concert tour for young people and their sponsors —appropriate concert settings, advance publicity, opportunities for learning about the areas visited (including exchanges with the local youth), and good logistical planning. The recent tour of the Akron, Ohio Summit Children's Touring Choir through Germany, the Czech Republic and Austria was successful indeed. The venues were most impressive and beautiful.
